Hair Regrowth: Most Advanced Approach Summary

Not Long ago I wrote an article examining the benefits of combining different hair regrowth methods. 3 methods were tested but none of the test groups used all three mechanisms, despite them all using different mechanisms of action and thus would have functioned synergistically. Additionally the study did not use the strongest of all methods, Avodart (dutasteride).  I came up with a method I thought would work the best, oral Finasteride(F), Topical Dutasteride (D), topical Minoxidil (M) and Topical Ketoconazole (K).

Turns out there was a study that tested all four components was conducted 4 years ago! The study showed that all 4 components worked better than any combination of 3 of the 4. So despite the F and D being redundant in theory they did infact work synergistically together.  

Please note that F and D inhibit the conversion of Testosterone to DHT and thus will not work on modified DHT molecules such as Winstrol, Anavar, DMZ, Masteron, or on non-5 alpha reducing androgens like trenbolone.  This 4 fold approach is great for preventing natural hair loss and to initiate hair regrowth. If you're taking androgens which directly bind like DHT then only K and M will be of help against those DHT analog agents.

Myostatin

Myostatin is a protein which is released by muscle tissue to prevent muscle from getting too big. It is the bane of all bodybuilders or is it? The heart, for instance, is a muscle and we don't want that growing uncontrolled now do we?


Myostatin Is part of a larger family called the TGF-beta family and it binds to the activin 2 B receptor.  This binding inhibits muscle cell development and separately decreases muscle protein synthesis.  There are numerous studies conducted on Myostatin since its discovery in 1997.  It was determined that there are 2 copies of the MSTN gene and if one is disabled there is increase fat free mass of a animal. If 2 copies are disabled even greater muscle mass is achieved but there may be other side effects.  Deletion of the receptors for the Myostatin protein was less effective. Using monoclonal antibodies to bind the free form Myostatin was the best balance of benefit vs consequences yielding 60% increase in muscle mass.

There have been many methods attempted to block Myostatins effects on muscle but not on other tissues and the most promising is Follistatin (FS-344).

Follistatin

Follistatin is a protein found in all tissues of the body. It is being researched for its ability to bind to Myostatin and inhibit Myostatin binding to the Activin 2B receptor.  As you may know, Myostatin causes muscle cells to stop replicating and stop growing.  Developing a drug to inhibit the function of myostatin would be a phenomenal breakthrough in bodybuilding.  However generalized release of follistatin would influence all types of systems in the body.  FS-344 was found to be a follistatin specific to muscle.  This binds to myostatin and inhibits its binding and thus inhibits the inhibitor.  Making Follistatin an indirect muscle growth agent.  

The Lab data on mice are astounding. with as much as 300% increase in muscle mass and the reputed effect of only one gene altering shot will give you a lifetime of increased muscle growth and permanent strength gains.  A cold virus is used to vector the reverse transcription of the follistatin 344 gene amplifier to a host, and their genes are permanently altered.  

Reports on forums indicate the results in anecdotal self reported human trials are less than stellar. Mice seem to respond to Follistatin better than humans do.  The gains humans are making seem to indicate the Follistatin on the black market is not the real deal, or at least diluted to the point of not being functional.

Body Fat

Do you realize your butt is like a grain silo?  No? There is a reason we cant see it, and thats because if we have an intelligent creator he is sparing us the humiliation of seeing all our mistakes on a daily basis.  Do you want to correct this problem?  I bet you do!

There are 2 basic types of adipose (fat) tissue. And 2 basic places your body stores them.

White Fat
White fat is the basic grain silo type of fat cells. It stores the fat for future use as energy.  The white fat cells can grow very large and the larger you get the more they fill! its a downward spiral of getting fatter, so dont fill your fat cells.  

Brown Fat
This type burns fat for energy and was believed not to exist in adult humans. But it turns out it exists in people who exercise HARD. Not zumba, but actual hard work. Like bodybuilding.  Thats right, actually working hard causes your body to burn more fat. Its not just the calories, its your calories per unit time.  300 calories doing the treadmill for 50 minutes sucks, 300 calories doing the leg press for 10 minutes is much better.  This will teach your body to make more of your fat brown fat.  One of the many reasons men burn fat easier than women.  

Subcutaneous Fat
This is the fat under your skin and is good for little in men but attractive in small amounts in women. It allows members of the opposite sex to see that you're capable of making babies and thus attracts sexual attention. To much is a deterrent as is to little. Its almost impossible for men to have body fat that is to low.

Visceral Fat
This is the fat that surrounds the organs and slowly kills you. The fat accumulate here as your insulin sensitivity declines. By eating a high carb diet you drive the fat under your abs instead of on top of them.  Nicotine gum or patches while bulking partially protects again the fat from accumulating there.

6-MASS by LG Sciences

6-Mass is a special kind of animal. I took it for a test run back in 2012 when it was just a prototype. I added it to my existing cycle, mid bulk, and was amazed with the results I experienced! I gained 3 lbs but here is the weird thing: I lost 1 inch from my waist! This means while dirty bulking I lost fat! While gaining weight I lost fat. This is super rare and almost unheard of.  Gaining muscle while cutting is one thing, but losing fat while bulking is a totally different story.

6-Mass does not bind strongly to the estrogen receptor, the androgen receptor, or even the progesterone receptor. Despite not having a clear receptor based mechanism of action it causes an increase in muscle in tested rats.  

So if you want a side effect free muscle builder and fat burner which can be added to any cycle look no further than 6-Mass!

Estrogen Causes Prostate Cancer

For many years doctors have believed that DHT or dihydrotestosterone caused prostate cancer and cancer treatment has been targeted at DHT almost exclusively.  
Recent research shows that it is not infact DHT, but instead is estrogen that causes the prostate cancer to grow.  
One study used undifferentiated progenitor cells to a prostate and exposed it to estrogen. These cells grew but did not form into actual prostate tissue. This indicates estrogen would grow a prostate tumor/cancer mass.
Another study showed that a prostate exposed to testosterone but no estrogen did not grow prostate cancer. A similar study was done with DHT but this showed minimal cancerous activity.  
The prostate has its own version of aromatase, the enzyme which makes testosterone into estrogen, and this version of aromatase is located mostly in the parts of the prostate most prone to developing cancer.
Additionally when prostate cancer metastasizes to other parts of the body, those “seeds” produce 30 times more estrogen than normal prostate tissue.  
Most interesting part was in mice which had the gene for aromatase eliminated, there was no cancer potential. Even bombarding these mice with testosterone and estrogen yielded no cancer.

MCT Oil for Site Enhancement?

A company is using a refined version of coconut oil as a non steroidal, injectable, muscle building agent. Caprylic acid is the main medium chain triglyceride (MCT) found in coconut oil.  It has been found in studies to increase the effects of testosterone by 6%. This company came up with the idea to use caprylic acid in their intra muscular fascia stretching injections.  

The fascia is a large connective tissue sheath over the muscle. It is one connected web of fibers which stretches through your whole body like a wet suit. The tighter and thicker the fascia is the harder time your muscles have growing.  Injecting oil into the muscle is an old trick to stretch the fascia of particularly weak muscles like rear delts, calves and biceps of certain athletes before stepping on stage.  

Since caprylic acid has this special property to make steroids more effective a company decided to make an injectable caprylic acid to stretch out the muscle, improving on the old inert oils.

Androgen Receptor Upregulation

Everyone is so busy trying to find a way to get more androgen receptor ligands into their body and no one is trying to get their body to produce more androgen receptors! Why?

Androgen receptor ligands are testosterone, prohormones, and anabolic steroids. Simply put, they are all androgen receptor ligands; they bind to the androgen receptor.  

There are so many companies making these androgen receptor ligands but nothing to make the androgen receptors!

That has come to an end.

There is a compounds known as Sweet Clover (Dihydrocoumarin)  Which has many effects on the body, one of which is androgen receptor upregulation.  

The Dihydrocoumarin inhibits a protein called SRT1 in every cell in your body. What SRT1 does is it stops DNA from being transcribed, and In the muscle this means it stops the muscle form making more androgen receptors.  

This would be useful in theory for all men, to increase the androgen receptor concentration of their muscles and no where else would result in more testosterone binding to the muscles. This would mean more muscle growth.

But the real benefit is for people who have used pro hormones or anabolic steroids. As you increase the number of androgen receptor ligands in your body your body decreases the amount of receptors over time. You grow a tolerance.  What DHC will do for you is regenerate your original androgen receptor population so you can use way less androgens to get the same result.  

It would be a bad Idea to use this for an extended period of time because the function SRT1 serves is to decrease your chances of getting cancer and slow the aging process. If you use it for 3 weeks then you age faster in those 3 weeks.

It sounds like a bad trade off, but if you can cut your dose of steroids in half the the benefits outweigh the risks.

T2 for Fat Burning

T2 is a Synthetic Thyroid hormone which may be as good if not better than our own natural T3.  The thyroid is the thermostat of the body, and regulates the speed of all metabolic processes in almost every cell in your body.  The way it does this is with Thyroid Hormones. Natural thyroid hormones come in two forms: T4, the inactive stable prohormone and T3 the active short lived metabolite of T4.  T2 Is a new compound which will burn fat like T3 but unlike T3 it won't burn muscle.  


T2 doesn't only work on fat burning, it also CONVERTS slow twitch to fast twitch fibers. This allows the endurance fibers to convert to the strength and size fibers. This means it PERMANENTLY makes your capacity to get stronger and bigger increase.  Read that again.


If you want to be leaner, more muscular and stronger with a legal and safe supplement then T2 is the way to go. Cutting or bulking it makes no difference, you need T2.

Glutamine is one of the most important amino acids!

Glutamine is used by both muscle and the immune system.  After a hard workout your glutamine levels are severely reduced.  In this state your immune system is weakened and you're open to infection.  If you're training hard and you don't want to get sick then you should supplement with glutamine!

Glutamine does the following:

* Increases Healing, thus recovery

* Increases Anabolic processes including muscle growth

* Increases Human Growth Hormone release if taken before bed or workout  

* Prevents illness if taken post workout or any time you need to boost your immune system

You may have heard that glutamine competes with arginine for absorption.  This is true but only 30% less is absorbed of each in the presence of both, so just increase your dose by 50% if you're using arginine and glutamine at the same time.  

I suggest 5 g of Glutamine Pre/Post workout and before bed for the best possible results from all your training and efforts.  Why not use it? Every one else does

MGF: Mechano Growth Factor

MGF Is also known as Mechano Growth Factor.  It is generated during exercise itself and is also known as IGF-1Ec.  It migrates immediately from its synthesis in the muscle cell nucleus to the satellite cells surrounding the muscle cell. This causes the Satellite cell to migrate to the muscle cell and donate a nucleus.


This is not to be confused with normal IGF-1 which we will call IGF-1Ea.  This is released in the presence of Growth Hormone and causes the new satellite cell/muscle cell complex to mature into more powerful muscle cells.  


A way has been developed that allows people to permanently increase their MGF production. There is a fear in the athletic community that this will be abused as professional athletes will have their DNA altered to be more powerful athletes.  These researchers developed an intrinsic mechanism to determine if someone has in fact undergone this Gene Doping procedure.  


Currently Bodybuilders use MGF in a similar way as IGF-1: they inject it intramuscularly post workout.  Like IGF 1 dosing is based on forum consensus which is 50 mcg in a muscle post workout. So if you're trying to bring up your lateral tricep you would hit triceps 2-3 times a week and inject each tricep after each workout so 1000 mcg lasts about 10 workouts or 3-4 weeks.  


On an obscurity scale with creatine being 1 or not obscure and 10 being the blood of Ares, I would give MGF a 9.5. I have never met anyone who has used this, and most people who know me run their cycle by me.

ACE-031

ACE-031 also known as ACVR2B is a monoclonal antibody against Myostatin.  Myostatin is a protein which stops your muscles from growing.  In mice born without Myostatin type 2b muscle fibers grow at an accelerated rate and to previously unknown proportions, But this is not the results of the experiments conducted with ACE-031!  


For some reason both Type 1 and Type 2 fibers grew.  This seems to indicate that the myostatin blocker, ACE-031, is blocking more than Myostatin.  Here is the reason: the monoclonal antibody has the head of the Activn receptor and the body of an antibody. Its a genetically engineered antibody against Myostatin right? wrong.  Although Myostatin is specific for this receptor, the receptor is not specific for myostatin.  It binds multiple members of the Transformation Growth Factor Beta (TGF-beta) family. Clearly other members of this family inhibit Type 1 fiber growth or else the antibody would not have allowed for the type 1 fibers to grow.  


What this means is by trying to make muscles grow by blocking myostatin we learned that myostatin does not act alone to inhibit muscle growth, but there is at least 1 other protein that works like myostatin to inhibit muscle growth that we were previously unaware of! This is huge!
